New Heart Family - Bringing Grace and Truth to Women through the Word of God
About Us
New Heart Family is a Christ centered, non-denominational, 501(c)(3) not for profit ministry. Our mission is to offer biblical guidance and counseling for the broken heart, feed the hungry, and offer a transitional living home for women with/without a child. Our mission to feed the hungry is accomplished through Project New Heart...Higher Love.  Currently we are looking for a home so we may open New Heart Family House.
New Heart Family started in 2005 when a woman, Erica, suffering with major depression found healing through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Erica desired healing for her broken heart and had tried every available path presented to her.  She was admitted to a psychiatric hospital in her young adulthood and was told she would have to accept her depression and learn to live with this disease.  After many years of hopelessness and not willing to accept her deeply broken heart she cried out to God for help.  It was then that she felt peace and light enter her and knew God had answered her prayer.  She spent the next two years seeking God's Word; developing her new relationship with Jesus Christ.  Erica allowed God's Word to cleanse and penetrate her darkness.  Over time Erica came to know how much Jesus Christ loved her and that she was lovable.  She relays her story as one of transformation using her two favorite women in the Bible, the woman caught in the act of adultery (John 8:1-10) and the woman worshiping at the feet of Jesus Christ by pouring out the oil from her alabaster jar
(Luke 7:36-48).  Erica relates to these woman as they picture her life; the woman caught in the act of adultery, looking for love, meeting a Savior who would not condemn her but instructed her to sin no more.  Then, transformation by the healing hand of God into the woman who knew her sins were forgiven, that could love much and meet her Savior once again to worship him at his feet, pouring out her oil for Him

Erica wrote her story, Matters Of My Heart.  She started teaching and counseling women what she had discovered and took the message of God's Love to any woman who was willing to listen.  It was from this that God opened doors for New Heart Family to reach the broken heart, the hungry, and women who needed a home.

New Heart Family comes from Erica's favorite Bible passage, Ezekiel 36:26, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
